Business Practice Dos and Don’ts for Freelance Medical Interpreters & Translators

August 20 / 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

Join this interactive webinar to master essential strategies, set effective boundaries, and navigate both the business and informal aspects of your freelance medical interpreting and translating career.

The success of freelance work requires strategy, consistency, and dedication, just like any
other type of work or venture. Freelance medical interpreters and translators often struggle
to find their voice and understand how to set boundaries, define strategies for productivity,
and navigate a world that is sometimes very business-like and other times quite informal.
This webinar will present tried-and-true suggestions and recommendations on how to
address these challenges (the Dos) and how to stay alert and the avoid pitfalls (the Don’ts)
that can make or break any freelancer who has a vocation for service but also wants to
ensure they can pay their bills and be assertive in their business decision-making. A Q&A
segment will follow the webinar.

You will learn how to:

  1. Understand why best practices are the foundation for success.
  2. Gain clarity on the “non-negotiables” and the “maybes” of good business.
  3. Self-audit and reflect on your inventory of best practices to plan for success.
